MDC1200 Emergency Decode |
|
I like the ideas of the other people who have suggested additions to the software. I would also like to see MDC1200 Emergency decode capability - IE - When the orange emergency button is pressed on the radio the radio ID along with the emergency status would be displayed. Also, using another poster's suggestion, you could trigger an audible alarm tone or trigger playback of a customizable audio file.
I work with a volunteer emergency communications and support group with a fleet of 300+ Motorola HT1000 and MT1000 handhelds and this software - especially with emergency decode enabled - would be extremely useful to our safety officer.
Also, it took me 2 different installs on 2 different computers to get the software decoding but it seems to be working reliably. I wonder if some of the problems people are having is due to lower bit-rate sound cards?
Thanks for your excellent work on this project thus far.

WinMDCD currently does show emergency events. What do you mean by the "status"? This might be a feature of double-packet MDCs. WinMDCD currently only decodes single packet (ie, op, arg, and radio ID). Support for double is planned, however I do not currently have any reliable real-world method of testing it.
